Profile / Bio: 

Eric Gagnon joined ADB PPFD (then COSO) in 2006 when he covered procurement operations in a number of countries in South Asia. Between 2009 and 2012, he was based at the ADB Resident Mission in Hanoi (Vietnam) where he was a Resident Procurement Specialist for Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Viet Nam. After heading the Consulting Services Unit of ADB for two years, he now leads the procurement unit responsible for procurement in the Pacific region. A Canadian national, Mr. Gagnon graduated in political science and economics from McGill University (Montreal) and completed his graduate studies in public administration and international development at the University of Ottawa. His experience prior to joining ADB was in project management in humanitarian demining operations primarily in South East Asia but also in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. His procurement and contract management experience extends over both the private and public sectors, and he was working for the United Nations at the time he joined ADB.
