Eric Blackburn has 30 years of procurement and contract management experience and has been working with the World Bank since 2015. Since joining the World Bank, Eric has supported operations in several Pacific Island countries, including Samoa, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Solomon Islands, and PNG.

Before joining the World Bank, Eric spent more than 7 years living and working in Papua New Guinea on Australian Government and World Bank-financed Projects, and prior to that in senior roles with the Australian Federal Government, Australian Capital Territory Government, and a Queensland Local Government.

He has supported project implementation across all sectors and projects in the countries he has been assigned. In his current role, he is the country focal point for procurement support to Papua New Guinea.

Eric holds Post Graduate qualifications in Facilities Management and Property from Australian universities and is also undertaking further postgraduate studies in Disaster Risk Reduction. He also holds a full Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS).
