Chief Science Research Specialist and OIC, Philippine Rice Research Institute Profile / Bio Dr. Eduardo Jimmy Quilang is a visionary leader and accomplished researcher in rice science and agricultural innovation. He currently serves as Chief Science Research Specialist and Officer-in-Charge Deputy Executive Director for Research at the Philippine Rice Research Institute. His work, supported by national and international funding, advances research, strengthens innovation systems, and improves the livelihoods of rice farmers. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences from Kyushu University, Japan, and advanced degrees from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. He is a recipient of the prestigious 2023 Gawad CES Presidential Award and the 2025 Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo Award.
