Deepak focusses on data-driven policy research on Energy Efficiency, ESCO and EE financing and market enablement for ESCO. At AEEE he is actively involved in creating business models for the growth of the ESCO industry and bridging the gap between ESCO and the end users by facilitating dialogues and conducting workshops/seminars for creating awareness on Energy Efficiency retrofits. He has wide experience in policy and research work specifically in buildings energy efficiency, energy efficiency assessment of existing building stock, environmental rating for buildings, and development of standard & labeling framework for consumer appliances.
Deepak worked with PwC on the pre-feasibility of District Energy System in Cities in India which involved stakeholder consultation and technical & financial feasibility for a pilot DES system. He has also supported States in India in the implementation and enforcement of Energy Conservation Building Code and developing energy benchmarks for Hotels in India. He has also worked with The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) in building energy efficiency on research and policy development, environmental consultancy for new constructions and investment-grade energy audits.
He is a certified Energy Auditor from Bureau of Energy Efficiency
