Debora Dian Utami or Amie is currently the Program Manager of YAKKUM Emergency Unit (YEU) Indonesia—an NGO that was established in 2001 and has mandates on inclusive emergency response, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and climate change adaptation. Amie graduated with a degree in communication studies from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia, and has been working in YEU since 2016. She has worked for different projects on community resilience for DRR and climate change adaptation initiated by women groups in Central Java and Yogyakarta Province, documenting community risk mapping process and resilience activities through community resilience funds. She has been involved in the advocacy for localizing global framework at the community level and strengthening grassroots leaders as partners of government in planning and implementation of global frameworks including monitoring and evaluation. She has also managed projects on improving the well-being of older people by promoting intergenerational approaches and community-led innovation.
