Darshani De Silva

Darshani De Silva is a Principal Safeguards Specialist (Environment) with more than two decades of international experience in environmental and social risk assessment and management, as well as natural resources management. Prior to joining ADB, she spent 16 years with the World Bank, working across Asia, the Pacific, West Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, and other regions. Her expertise spans the blue economy, environmental policy, biodiversity and forest conservation, integrated water resources management, solid waste management, and climate resilience. In her current role, she supports the rollout and implementation of ADB’s Environmental and Social Framework 2024 and promotes the integration of robust environmental and social risk management practices across ADB-financed and administered projects.
