External Relations Officer, European Representative Office, ADB Profile / Bio Daniel Pecina-Lopez joined the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in May 2024 as an External Relations and Communications Specialist, where he supports efforts to strengthen and expand ADB’s engagement with key European stakeholders. Prior to joining ADB, Daniel accumulated 12 years of experience in communications and external relations in the field of international affairs, working with several organizations, including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, DC. Daniel holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University in the City of New York, United States. In 2010, he received Spain’s First National Award for Excellence in Academic Performance from the Ministry of Education, recognizing him as the university-level student with the highest average GPA nationwide.
