Daniel del Barrio Alvarez

Dr. Daniel del Barrio Alvarez is a project researcher at the International Project Laboratory, Department of Civil Engineering, The University of Tokyo. Previously, he was affiliated with the Institute for Future Initiatives, The University of Tokyo, where he contributed to the Global Energy Policy and East Asia Research Unit.

His research focuses on the energy transition governance at local, national, and international levels, through an interdisciplinary research approach. His research work include cross-border energy connectivity, low carbon mobility transition, and technological innovation systems, with special focus in Southeast Asia, but also through comparison with global cases in Asia, Europe, and America.
