Engr. Dabaraj Dey, currently serving as the Programme Coordinator of Oxfam in Bangladesh, is a driving force behind sustainable development initiatives with a feminist perspective. With over nine years of experience in program and project management across diverse thematic fields including Environment & Climate Justice, Humanitarian Response, and Community Resilience Building. His career highlights include successfully leading country chapters of multi-country programs like BRUC Asia (funded by ADB) as well as overseeing projects such as BID4CJ & RIICB (Funded by Australian Aid), PSBB (Funded by EU). Under his leadership, Oxfam achieved the “Urban Climate Resilience Award” consecutively in 2019 & 2018.

Dabaraj’s critical skills encompass project and grants management, community-led initiatives on climate adaptation, promoting participatory methods and indigenous engineering solutions for resilient development. He holds a Master of Disaster Management from the University of Dhaka, a Master of Environmental Science from the State University of Bangladesh, and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Asia Pacific. He is also at the forefront of the Feminist Climate Movement in Bangladesh, advocating for gender equality and climate resilience with a keen focus on promoting equity and inclusiveness in all aspects of his work.
