Cai-Wan Tam

Cai Wan Tam is Vice President, Grid Automation, Power Grids - Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines, ABB Singapore. Tam majored in Electrical Engineering in the University of Technology in Malaysia and has been working on the power system environment on the areas of engineering, project management for transmission and distribution utility since the early 2000s. She has twenty-six years of experience across the entire business P&L, commercial and operations leadership in the energy and power industry. She is leading a team on the successful implementation of localization of engineering for various power grid portfolio. Currently, she is responsible for Power grids-Grid Automation in Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. Catering to Substation Automation Products and Systems, Wired and Wireless Communication, Enterprise Software Asset management and Network Control (including Microgrids and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) service solutions) across the generation, transmission and distribution value chain.
