Deputy Director of the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation, UNESCO Profile / Bio BI Xiaohan is currently the Deputy Director of the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI). She holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Tsinghua University. With extensive experience in the digital transformation of higher education, she has participated in the design and launch of the International Institute of Online Education (IIOE), a flagship initiative of UNESCO-ICHEI aimed at strengthening the digital and AI competencies of higher education professionals. Ms. BI has overseen the development of the IIOE online and blended learning quality assurance framework and mechanisms, the implementation of the IIOE micro-certification project for teacher digital and AI capacity building, the expansion of the IIOE global network, and the establishment of IIOE National Centres across Asia, Africa, and other regions.
