An Uzbekistan national, Aziz Yusupov has 15 years of project financing experience in sectors such as power, gas, and urban development spanning across South Asia and Central and West Asia regions. In his current role as Bangladesh country focal for the energy sector, he conducts policy dialogue with the government to facilitate legal and regulatory improvements enabling sustainable and inclusive energy sector development. He also leads the formulation of ADB’s energy program and pipeline in Bangladesh and oversees the processing and implementation of loans, grants, and technical assistance. He holds a Master of Science in Management (Banking and Finance) from the University of Wales and a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from Westminster University.
