Asad Aleem

Mr. Asad Aleem is currently posted as the Deputy Country Director / Country Operations Head of the Asian Development Bank [ADB] in Pakistan. Before this assignment, he been ADB’s Principal Energy Specialist, implementing projects across multiple countries in Central and South Asia. He holds two master’s degrees in engineering and business administration from the United Kingdom and has been a Fulbright Scholar of the US Government and an Endeavour Executive of the Government of Australia. He possesses over 25 years of experience in infrastructure development and financing both in public and private sectors in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Before joining ADB in 2004, he worked in the World Bank in Washington DC, the PAK Ministry of Finance in Islamabad, British Railtrack in London, and with Ericsson Telecom and Lahore and Cairo. Asad has traveled to over 40 countries and is an avid trekker.
