Senior Municipal Engineer, World Bank Profile / Bio Profile / Bio Artessa works in the East Asia & Pacific Region of the World Bank, where she leads a number of projects on disaster risk management, seismic risk reduction, and urban resilience. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2010, she worked in the Office of the President of the Philippines, and was also an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of the Philippines. She holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of the Philippines, and Master’s degrees in Civil & Environmental Engineering, as well as Building Technology, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is currently based in Sydney.
