Associate Professor, Yerevan State University Profile / Bio Artak Piloyan is a highly experienced GIS and Cartography specialist with over 15 years in thematic mapping, spatial analysis, and capacity building, focusing on water resources, disaster management, regional development, and urban planning. He holds a PhD in Geography and lectures at the university level. Dr. Piloyan has worked on international donor-funded and research projects across Europe, Africa, and Central Asia. He served as Head of Cartography and Geodesy Department at Armenia’s Cadastre Committee (2019–2020) and is currently Associate Professor and Acting Head of the Chair of Cartography and Geomorphology at Yerevan State University. He is an active researcher and serves as the Council Member of the International Society of Digital Earth.
