Ruschpler joined the Funding Division of the Treasury Department in November 2015 and is primarily responsible for monitoring, evaluating and executing funding opportunities in various capital markets as part of the ADB’s annual borrowing program. Prior to joining the Asian Development Bank, he worked as a Senior Treasury Officer at the African Development Bank (AfDB) where he managed and executed its annual borrowing program and spearheaed the development of AfDB’s Green Bond program. He has also worked as a a consultant for PIMCO’s European Advisory business and spent four years at BNP Paribas as a Debt Capital Markets coverage officer to sovereign, supranational and agency clients. During this time, he was also involved in market-making on the European Government Bond trading desk. Ruschpler holds a Master of Arts degree from Oxford University and a Master of Philosophy degree from Cambridge University. In addition to his native language of English, he is also fluent in German.
