Andrew Jeffries is the Country Director for the Philippines at the Asian Development Bank, where he leads ADB operations and engagement with a country portfolio of approximately $12.5 billion. He has 34 years of professional experience, including more than 19 years with ADB. Previously, he led region-wide energy transition initiatives, served as ADB’s Country Director for Viet Nam, and was Director of the Southeast Asia Energy Division, overseeing investments in energy infrastructure and policy advice. Earlier in his career at ADB, he headed the energy sector operations in India, based in New Delhi. Before joining ADB, Mr. Jeffries was a Senior Vice President in the New York office of Fortis Capital Corp. and previously held leadership roles at GE Capital’s Structured Finance Group in the United States, where he led transactions in structured finance, project financing, and equity investments in energy infrastructure. 

Prior to GE, he worked for Caithness Energy LLC, a New York-based developer of independent power generation projects in the United States and Southeast Asia.
