Head of the Gas phase and Aerosol Chemistry Group, PSI Profile / Bio Andre Prevot is Head of the Gas Phase and Aerosol Chemistry Group at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland. In this role, he leads research activities focused on atmospheric chemistry, particularly the formation, transformation, and properties of atmospheric aerosols and gas-phase pollutants. His work contributes to improving scientific understanding of air pollution processes and their impacts on climate and human health. His research spans field measurements, laboratory studies, and air quality modeling, with emphasis on secondary organic aerosols, urban air pollution, and source–receptor relationships. Through his leadership at PSI, he supports international scientific collaborations and contributes evidence to inform air quality management and environmental policy development.
