Amandeep “Aman” Singh is a Technical Officer with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Vanuatu. Before WHO, Aman worked as a Vaccine Financing Specialist (Consultant) with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Vietnam and with Gavi as a Technical Advisor on COVID-19 and Pandemic Preparedness in the Policy Design team of the Office of the COVAX Facility. He has also consulted for the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Center for Disaster Protection, advising on the global architecture of pandemic policies and financing. Aman’s health financing expertise is recognized by UNICEF and ABD as evidenced by his selection for UNICEF’s ‘P4 Talent Group for Health Economists’ and ‘Experts Pool in Health Economics and Health Financing for Immunization and Primary Healthcare’ and by ADB as an ‘International Health Economist’ under a framework agreement for health portfolios in Central and West Asia.
Before his global health security roles, Aman spent over seven years in senior management for the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), providing technical assistance to governments. He initially served as deputy country director in Cambodia, leading strategic, operational, and financial planning for CHAI’s national programs, including malaria control and elimination, sexual and reproductive health, and tuberculosis. Later, he was the Director of Country Support for CHAI's Global Vaccine Delivery Program, overseeing program implementation across 14 countries in Asia and Africa.
Aman’s career began in management consulting, and he holds two master’s degrees: an M. Pharm from BITS Pilani, India, and a joint MSc in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
