With nearly four decades of experience at the forefront of environmental protection, Dr. Al Oga Orolfo is more than a public servant—he is a visionary for eco-governance. As the current Director of the FASPS at the DENR, he helped transform international environmental agreements into tangible community-oriented projects, focusing on everything from high-level policy instruments to grassroots capability building.

Dr. Orolfo’s career is defined by "innovation and spearheading": from initiating the establishment of nationally protected seascapes to modernizing HR policies within his assigned office. His approach blends technical mastery with a deep-seated belief in stakeholder empowerment. An avid diver and advocate for the blue economy, he carries his professional mission into his personal life through his work with Reef Wanderers Conservation Inc. and various socio-civic leadership roles.
