Brigadier General (Retired) Mohammad Abdul Wohab, NDC, P Eng is a distinguished leader with a rich background in military career and in civil engineering. With a career spanning over several decades, he has garnered extensive experience in strategic planning, project management, and infrastructure development. 

Born and brought in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Mohammad Abdul Wohab demonstrated an early passion for engineering and leadership. He pursued his education in engineering, earning a degree in Civil Engineering in 1985. After that, he did his master’s and is an Alumni of National Defense College in Bangladesh. He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineers in Bangladesh.

Throughout his military career, Mr. Wohab distinguished himself as a capable leader and engineer. He has been involved in several critical road, bridge, elevated expressway, and river protection projects, in Bangladesh. Mr. Wohab was involved in infrastructure development projects in the Republic of Rwanda (1994), and South Sudan (2008-2009). He also took part in rebuilding Kuwait during 1995-1996.

Mr. Wohab has been working as Project Director on MRT Line 5 since 2020. As the Project Director, he is overseeing all aspects of MRT Line-5 (South) project, from planning and design to construction and implementation.
His career exemplifies a lifelong commitment to service, engineering excellence, and leadership. Mr. Wohab’s contributions to both the military and civil sectors have left a lasting impact, shaping the infrastructure landscape and improving the quality of life for citizens in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
