The Regional Flyway Initiative (RFI) team joined the 11th East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP) Meeting of the Parties in Brisbane, Australia (12-17 Mar 2023). ADB’s Duncan Lang and BirdLife International’s Ding Li Yong delivered the keynote presentation, which covered the status of the Regional Flyway Initiative. It also gave RFI the chance to update government partners, CSOs and other stakeholders on the identified 147 priority sites (which are undergoing further  refinement), framework of and details on the site selection, and future steps in taking the initiative forward.

Note: This presentation was not part of the 2-day training workshop on ecosystem services but was part of the main (plenary) session of the EAAFP MOP11. We deem it important to share this additional material to give an overview on where the RFI is at this stage and continue building the momentum for collaboration. This presentation was developed in collaboration with Ding Li Yong of BirdLife International.
