RMI: Pesticides and Toxic Chemical Substances (POPS) Regulations 2004
The purpose of these regulations is to establish a system of control over the importation, distribution, sale, and use of pesticides by persons within the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and further, to restrict the use of twelve of the world's most highly toxic persistent organic pollutants ("POPS"), 9 of are pesticides, one of which is an industrial chemical, and two of which are unintentional chemical by-products, all targeted by the United Nations Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants.
