Flooding is the most frequent and the most damaging of all natural hazards. It comprised 43% of all recorded natural events affecting nearly 2.5 billion people. As urbanization accelerates, damages and losses due to floods will likely increase.

There is no one-size fits all flood protection approach, but there are various solutions countries can use depending on their need and situation. This presentation shares strategies in dealing with floods, such as the Integrated Flood Risk Management, nature-based solutions, and coastal management strategies.
