Hiet Tran is a Senior Procurement Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). She oversees the procurement of development projects financed and administered by ADB and advises internal and external clients on procurement strategies and execution to achieve Value for Money. She has also been actively involved in the development of procurement policies and regulations, procurement reforms and harmonization, procurement risk assessments, and various procurement capacity development activities. Before joining ADB, she worked for the World Bank and some international consulting and construction firms in the field of procurement, project, and contract management.
She holds a Master of Laws Degree in Public Procurement Law and Policy from the University of Nottingham (UK) and a Master of Engineering Degree from the University of Technology Sydney (AUS), among others. She is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM®) certified by the Institute for Supply Management (USA).
