AML Training on SME Risk in Nepal
15 June 2022 | 3:00 p.m. Kathmandu Time | Virtual
Trade-based money laundering and terrorist financing are serious global problems. It is important to prevent criminals from using the complex network of trade and financial transactions for illegal activities. However, the AML efforts and requirements may result in unintended consequences which may hamper legitimate SME businesses. The ADB TSCFP has launched a number of initiatives to streamline AML/CFT activities, in collaboration with its partner banks, regulators, and international organisations.
Join colleagues from the Nepal financial Services to build awareness of the issue, develop capacity to respond, and foster financial inclusion, while maintaining a high level of required controls.
Speakers:
Moderator: Roberto Leva, Relationship Manager, Trade & Supply Chain Finance Program, Asian Development Bank
Elizabeth “Kelly” McCann, Senior AML/CFT-KYC Expert, Business & Finance Consulting
Sworup Shrestha, Deputy Director, Financial Information Unit, Nepal
