Compared to today’s linear’s “take, make, dispose” economic model which disregards loss of materials, a circular economy provides a powerful lens to review every process within a framework of material flows and reduces waste or inefficiencies. Switching from a linear to a circular economy is essential to addressing the pressing challenge of waste management in Asia.
