Insurance can be vulnerable to fraud. In the United States of America (USA) alone, insurance fraud costs about US$80 to 230 billion each year. Generally, fraud risk becomes higher in times of high pressure situations. This presentation shares lessons from the USA's experience on insurance fraud and discusses how investigations on such cases can be more effective.
