This Information Bulletin is aimed at assisting prospective proponents of development activities that may be classified as a Level 2 or Level 3 activity in accordance with the Environment (Prescribe Activities) Regulation 2002 to meet their legal obligations under Section 48 of the Environment Act 2000. The Act requires a person or company who intends to carry out preparatory work in relation to a Level 2 or Level 3 activity to register that intention in writing with the Director of Environment.
