Transforming Higher Education and Serving Future Learning Societies

23 February 2022

Higher education institutions are undergoing radical transformations arising from drivers of global change. Disruptive digital technologies, the rapid pace of innovation, demographic transitions, climate change, and COVID-19  are some of the forces influencing adaptations in higher education. Universities are at the heart of creating higher-order human capital that is critical for long-term growth and for sustainable learning societies.

ADB published a book onPowering a Learning Society During an Age of Disruption’ that highlights the role of multiple stakeholders in strengthening the fabric of education and training for future societies.

At this webinar, university leaders discussed key transformations underway in their institutions, their perspectives on the global engagement of higher education, and the key strategies that are critical to building the resilience and relevance of institutions, while improving access to studies with equity and quality.
