Series: ADB Business Outreach Activities Pacific Infrastructure Business Opportunities Seminar 2026 25 to 27 May 2026 Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nadi, Fiji The Pacific Infrastructure Business Opportunities Seminar (PIBOS) is for international, regional, and local contractors and consultants interested in contributing to infrastructure development activities in the Pacific. The event is hosted by the Government of Fiji, the Asian Development Bank, and the World Bank, in partnership with the Governments of Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and the United States, the European Union, European Investment Bank, the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, and the Pacific Regional Infrastructure Facility. This flagship in-person event brings the business community together with key representatives from Pacific governments and development partners to discuss the infrastructure development priorities for the Pacific region, especially growing opportunities in transport, energy, water, ICT, and social (health and education) infrastructure sectors. To strengthen the business community, investors and public buyers’ exchange and encourage increased local participation, the event features a briefing for new entrants, a sector-specific industry feedback session, and networking opportunities. The event will offer an unrivalled opportunity to better understand the growing business opportunities in the Pacific and explore how the local, regional, and international public and private sectors can work in partnership to grow further the trade and investment relationship towards sustainable infrastructure development in the Pacific. Prior to the Business Opportunities Seminar (BOS), businesses are invited to attend procurement and safeguard masterclasses on 25 May to gain in-depth insights into updates of the procurement process by public procurers and financiers. Objectives The two-day BOS events will cover: presentations of consolidated infrastructure project pipelines in PICs; marketplace for exchanges with PIC public sector representatives; sector-focused networking to foster partnership development; private sector development track on banking, insurance, tax, PPP, and regulatory environment; opportunity to provide market feedback to public buyers and funders; local participation ideation workshop; networking and Q&A opportunities with development partners and governments The pre-BOS masterclass on 25 May will cover: New procurement directives of ADB and World Bank Environment and social requirements integration in infrastructure procurement Pacific SME Business Regional Travel Support Enhancing local SME participation in Pacific infrastructure business opportunities is an important objective of this event. As such, a dedicated travel support funding is available on a competitive basis, for eligible SMEs based in ADB developing member countries in the Pacific region and outside of the host country (Fiji), to attend the BOS event on 25-27 May 2026. Funding support is available to cover the following partial or full travel expenses on a reimbursable grant basis: Economy flight to and from Nadi Accommodation cost. All other costs incurred by the selected SME in traveling to and attending the event will be borne by the selected firm. Interested business entity representatives shall submit their application by completing this form: Pacific Infrastructure Business Opportunities Seminar 2026 SME Travel Support Application Form Award of travel support is at the discretion of a selection panel consisting of representatives from the participating development partners. All applications will be reviewed within 5 business days of their submission, on a rolling basis. The deadline for the application is on Wednesday, 22 April 2026 (11:59 p.m. Manila time). The amount of any potential award is based on factors such as travel cost, location, and distance traveled, the experience, interest, and commitment of the participant in actively participating in upcoming infrastructure projects, fair distribution of support to different Pacific Island Countries outside of the host country, and the availability of funds.
