Ethics Network of Multilateral Organizations (ENMO) Annual Meeting
The Asian Development Bank hosted the 15th annual meeting of the Ethics Network of Multilateral Organizations (ENMO) bringing together over 100 senior ethics officers from 46 multilateral intergovernmental institutions from 12 to 15 September.
The ENMO meeting provides a platform to share innovative practices and discuss issues of common concern related to institutional ethics. Participants shared their initiatives and experience on key topics including effective ways of addressing harassment, prevention of retaliation, and impact measurement. The group also established an Ad Hoc Working Group for the development of standards of practice for ethics officers.
The event was chaired by Myriam Baele, Chief of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA)’s Ethics Office, and co-chaired by Christel Adamou, Director of ADB’s Office of Professional Ethics and Conduct, with Roman Schremser, Chief Compliance and Governance Officer of the European Central Bank (ECB) acting as Vice-Chair.
