Scaling nature finance is essential for climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. Healthy ecosystems—forests, wetlands, grasslands—provide services like flood protection, temperature regulation, and vital inputs for economic sectors. Agriculture, for instance, faces rising climate risks while contributing nearly half of food system emissions. Nature finance offers a pathway to transform agri-food systems through sustainable agriculture, land restoration, and ecosystem-based adaptation—turning them into nature-positive, resilient, and inclusive engines of growth.

In this session, International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and partners come together to exchange insights on approaches and tools to expand nature finance. Building on the MDB Joint Statement on Nature, People and Planet (2021), ADB and its fellow Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) are working collectively to scale investments and enhance impact.
