The Asian Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with Stanford University's Natural Capital Project, conducted the three-day “Asia-Pacific Natural Capital Forum 2023: Mainstreaming Natural Capital Assessments to Address Climate-Food-Nature Nexus” (formerly "ADB-Stanford Natural Capital Workshop: Transforming Policy and Investment through Mainstreaming Natural Capital Assessment and Accounting in Projects”) on 7–9 November 2023 at the ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

This forum aimed to convene policymakers, experts, researchers, practitioners, ADB staff, Stanford staff, and representatives from different countries to discuss natural capital and its ecosystem. The participants aimed to understand the concept of innovation and finance solutions as important mechanisms for natural capital conservation and determine how they might be designed and implemented.

The three-day forum was built on the first training workshop, “Global Forum on Mainstreaming Nature in Decisions” held last April 2023 at Stanford campus, USA.
