Digitalization and Credit Scoring for Women SMES Webinar Series

The webinar series, "Digitalization and Credit Scoring for Women SMEs," aimed to provide practical knowledge on gender, alternative data, and insights on credit scoring for financial institutions, with discussants Dean Caire, a credit scoring specialist, and Steven Landman, a fintech expert. The first installment in December 2021 explored the basics of credit scoring, while the second in January tackled the technical challenges.

The Second WePOWER Partnership Forum

ADB's South Asia Regional Department, in collaboration with the World Bank’s South Asia Energy and Social Development Units and Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP), organized the Second Partnership Forum of the Women in Power Sector Professional Network in South Asia– WePOWER – to support workforce participation of women in energy projects and institutions, and promote normative change regarding women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education.

Dileni Gunewardena

Dileni N. B. Gunewardena is Professor of Economics at the University of Peradeniya with over 30 years of experience in development-oriented research and teaching in Sri Lanka and internationally. Her work combines rigorous econometric analysis with a strong gender inequality perspective, focusing on poverty, inequality, labour markets, human development, education, and the care economy.

Saranzaya Gerelt-Od

Saranzaya Gerelt-Od is a Senior Gender Officer at ADB assigned to Mongolia Resident Mission since 2023. She is a human rights advocate specializing in women’s rights, social justice, gender-based violence, and gender and conflict. She has worked with civil society, feminist philanthropy, research, and multilateral development in Mongolia and Asia and the Pacific region for 13 years.
