The Asia Foundation's William Cole discussed the rising challenges ahead for Asia's advanced middle-income countries. Global evidence suggests that sustaining economic growth and political stability through this phase has become harder and will only get worse in the decades ahead. Possible new approaches to overcome these challenges were discussed.
