Regional Meeting on Tax and Digitalization for Asian and Pacific Countries

19 November 2019 to 20 November 2019
Manila
Philippines

The Regional Meeting on Tax and Digitalization for Asian and Pacific countries will be hosted by the OECD and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) at its headquarters in Manila, the Philippines.  The Inclusive Framework (IF) on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS), which has more than 130 member countries, has developed a Programme of Work aiming to provide consensus-based, long-term solutions to the tax challenges arising from the digitalisation of the economy. IF working parties and groups are now carrying out the technical work under the guidance of the IF Steering Group. Regional outreach events on digitalisation enable all countries and jurisdictions, IF and non-IF members, to feed their perspectives into the global debate on the re-allocation of taxing rights and proposals for a minimum corporate income tax. The first two days of the meeting will be open to all ADB member countries. The third day will be dedicated to developing countries from the Pacific region to deal with broader capacity building issues.
