Thomas has almost 25 years of experience in the private reinsurance market, he has been actively managing risks, developing (re)insurance markets and implementing innovative insurance solutions for the private and public sector to close the protection gap in the area of Natural Catastrophe, Credit & Surety, Political, Property and Casualty, Agriculture and Life & Health risks.
He became a Director for Global Partnerships at Swiss Re based in Singapore and was responsible for implementing innovative insurance solutions with the public sector to close the insurance protection gap. He was also seconded to Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation as its Deputy Chief Executive
Officer based in Hanoi as part of a Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the two companies. In his current role, his mandate is to integrate and leverage risk transfer and risk sharing instruments within comprehensive Disaster Finance, sustainable Infrastructure Project Finance and other Finance solutions that contribute to the resilience of emerging economies and financial markets.
