Profile / Bio: 

Keiju Mitsuhashi is Energy Director, covering Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Pacific and Southeast Asia operations from July 2023. Prior to this position, he was Deputy Country Director for ADB Viet Nam Resident Mission in Ha Noi.

Keiju has more than 25 years of professional work experience, including over 14 years in ADB. He joined ADB in 2009 as Energy Specialist for Central and West Asia, and was assigned to Tashkent as Senior Energy Specialist for 2014–2017. He has extensive experience in upstream to downstream activities of project financing covering, power generation, transmission and distribution systems.

As a regional energy director for the Pacific and Southeast Asia, Keiju oversees project pipeline of about $3.5 billion for the next 3 years. His current focus includes promotion of regional power trade, clean energy transition, project development and implementation in ADB’s 25 economies in the Pacific and Southeast Asia.

Keiju, a national of Japan, has a Doctorate from the University of Sussex, the United Kingdom.
