Ms. Farzana Muhib is the Asia Team Lead for Vaccine Implementation, PATH’s Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access.

Ms. Muhib brings 20 years of experience in a range of public health disciplines, including disease surveillance, epidemiology, vaccine demand forecasting, vaccine impact and cost-effectiveness modeling, country decision-making and vaccine implementation.  While at PATH she has worked on multiple vaccine development and introduction projects to build evidence for global, regional, and country decision-makers to consider when contemplating introduction of vaccines. During the course of her career, Ms. Muhib has worked in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Mongolia.  

Prior to joining PATH, Ms. Muhib worked at Results for Development Institute (R4D), where she was responsible for the management of project activities for the aids2031 Costs and Financing Working Group. Before joining R4D, she worked at Johns Hopkins University on the Pneumococcal Vaccine Accelerated Development and Introduction Project (PneumoADIP) as the research project manager in charge of coordinating more than 40 research and surveillance projects. She also served as the PneumoADIP’s focal point for the EMRO region and helped to set up surveillance for pneumococcal disease in several countries.

Ms. Muhib holds an MPH from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, where she concentrated in international health and epidemiology. She also obtained her MA in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where she concentrated in development economics, and south-west Asian history and Islamic civilizations.
