Profile / Bio: 

Emma Veve is the Deputy Director General of ADB’s Pacific Department. She held various posts in the same department, including as Director of the Social Sectors and Public Sector Management Division in charge of the 14 Pacific developing member countries; Director for Urban, Social Development and Public Sector Management; regional economist, principal economist, and senior country specialist. She also served in the Australian commonwealth public service. Ms. Veve has undergraduate degrees in agricultural science and economics from the University of Queensland and a master’s degree in economics from the University of New England.
