High-level technology for agriculture may be the key to food security in Asia. An ADB project is studying investment options and priorities.

In 2016, ADB approved the Investment Assessment and Applications of High-Level Technology for Food Security in Asia and the Pacific project to promote the use of high-level technology in both upstream and downstream agriculture, assess investment needs, and prioritize areas for investment. ADB's Abul Basher shares the project's work plan and ongoing initiatives and highlights the importance of investments in education as a prerequisite for knowledge-intensive agriculture.
