Profile / Bio: 

Mr. Rooijackers is a national of The Netherlands. He completed his Master’s degree in Business Economics and General Economics at Tilburg University, Netherlands in 2006. After his Master’s Marc obtained a post-graduate Diploma in Financial Economic Policy Making from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Mr. Rooijackers has over 9 years of professional work experience. He has held various positions at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, most recently as Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for European Integration. He was responsible for coordinating the Dutch position in the EU working parties for development cooperation. He has been with the Ministry since 2007. He worked for the Dutch Embassy in Kinshasa (DR Congo) and Kigali (Rwanda) and was seconded to the European External Action Service in Brussels as Policy Advisor on Nigeria and Boko Haram.

He left ADB in August 2021.
