Training Course on Pollution, Health, and Safety Management in ADB Projects - Water Quality Module

PhilippinesADB’s Training Course on Pollution, Health, and Safety Management in ADB Projects was organized in response to an indicated need for better understanding of how the general and industry-specific Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines are applicable to ADB projects, how to assess the environmental impacts of project-generated pollution, and how to identify performance standards. The two-day Water Quality Module of the training course aimed to address this need by covering (i) environmental safeguard requirements in water quality impacts; (ii) water quality models; (iii) wastewater treatment standards; (iv) the concepts, methods, and assessment of Environmental Flows; and (v) the impacts of development on local hydrology.
