CAREC Energy Workshop on New Technologies

Organized by ADB in partnership with the Energy Sector Coordinating Committee (ESCC) of Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC), this workshop on CAREC Energy Workshop on New Technologies delivered a good understanding of new technologies geared towards capacity building: smart meters, solar power, battery storage, electric vehicles, energy efficiency technologies, etc.

The workshop was the first activity under “Promoting Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency Technologies,” a new element added in the Energy Work Plan 2016-2020 during the 19th CAREC ESCC meeting. Participants during the event sought ADB’s support in bringing in new technology to their energy sector to better implement climate change-related policies.
