Southeast Asia is said to be one of the most dynamic parts of the global energy system. The region’s demand has grown by 60% over the past 15 years, and countries across the region share the common challenge of meeting this rising demand.  

In this knowledge sharing event hosted by ADB’s Energy Sector Group, the International Energy Agency gave an overview of the Southeast Asia Energy Outlook 2017 and provided insights for policymakers and other energy stakeholders on how to address the energy sector challenges that face the region today.
